Live quotes and roughly two years of daily price history come from public market data, so Stock Smith never invents prices — if live data is unavailable for a symbol it tells you rather than showing a stale value.
Does the Auto Trader use real money?
Yes — and only on the Elite plan, only after you connect your own WeBull brokerage account, and only after you explicitly consent that you understand it places real orders. The broker is always the source of truth: the Auto Trader records positions and trades solely from confirmed live WeBull state. The three Pro bots are simulated and never touch real funds.
